The Award of the Court of the Second Instance granted on the 4th October 2012, in proceedings number 735/2012, states that the effectiveness of an administrative decision that denies the renewal of the residence permit in Macau SAR is subject to be suspended under the regime foreseen in Sections 120.º et seq of the Judicial Administrative Procedure Code.

The Award of the Court of Final Instance granted on the 26th September 2012, in proceedings number 59/2012, states that, in accordance with the provision of paragraph 1 of Section 28.º of the Judicial Administrative Procedure Code (a contratio senso), preparatory administrative acts, such as the one that determines the reopening of a public tender, are not subject to judicial appeal, as foreseen in Sections 20º et seq of the Judicial Administrative Procedure Code, unless such acts, being able to produce external effects, can be detachable (as per example, the exclusion of an applicant in public tenders).

On 10/09/2012 was gazzetted Law 13/2012, which approves the new legal aid regime. Such Law is meant to enter into force on the 01/04/2012 and shall revoke the previous regime approved by Decree Law 41/94/M.
